Large freighters have priority at the locks. We waited almost 3 hours before it was our turn.

  1. How much locks will you pass through on you trip?

    The great news is that, when you’ll reach Montreal after the St. Lambert lock, it will be open water till the end…

    • Hi Steve, We think it will be about 35 locks in total…so yes, by the time we get past Montreal we will only have one more and that will be weeks later in the Strait of Canso.
