Leaving Montreal, we are off on the St Lawrence again heading towards Quebec City. Montreal was a delightful place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hi Special Neighbors!
We have thoroughly enjoyed your blog and were excited that you received your
mission call to Germany! Congratulations! We are very happy for you. All is well
here in the neighborhood. Thought you might like to know Karen and Dick Bybee
have their house up for sale. We understand they are buying a larger home and
will be sharing the new home with their daughter and husband and family.
Thanks for sharing your dream vacation with us!
Leon and Mary
Hi Mary and Leon, so good to hear from you. We really are having a fantastic experience and are loving every minute of it. Living on the water now for several weeks, and seeing things from this perspective, really has been an interesting and eye-opening experience. Interesting how we can see the same thing from a different perspective and see so much more…or at least differently.
Hope all is well with you. Yes, we had heard about Karin and Dick Bybee…and we sure will miss them! We are in the middle of so much rain, almost from day one of the trip, that we wish we could send some of it your way as Salt Lake City can always use more rain!
Warmest regards,
Cari and Bruno
watch the weather!!
Hi Charlie and thanks for the heads up about watching the weather. It looks like we will be getting some rain for the next couple of days but nothing too serious. By Wed. pm we will be in Quebec City where we will then stay for 4 days…so the possible thunderstorms on Thursday will find us at the marina. Clearly, later on as we head further down east and the water gets bigger we will have to be very careful about the weather. Safe boating to you also.
iboats’ Captain,
Bruno
Hi again Charlie. I could not help thinking of your 3-word comment of yesterday about the weather as we crossed St. Peter’s Lake today…a large body of water on the St. Lawrence River downstream from Montreal just east of Sorel and west of Trois-Rivieres (Three Rivers). Anyway, the wind was blowing hard from the east and it was raining rather hard. A freighter passed us making even larger waves…I’d guess the waves were in the 7 or maybe 8 foot range. We went slowly (about 14 to 17 mph) and had no problems.
