We left Summerside, PEI and headed to Charlottetown, PEI where we would spend the next 3 days. It was a beautiful warm day with calm seas.

Leaving Summerside, PEI.

Before we left the Summerside Marina we met Brent Drummond who lives on PEI and keeps his 2008 Chaparral 280 at the same marina. Brent saw the iboats.com name on our boat and said it was on iboats classifieds where Brent found his boat for sale in Buzzards Bay, MA. He called the dealer, negotiated a good price and drove to MA and pulled his boat back to PEI on it’s trailer. Way to go iboats!

After leaving the Summerside bay we headed along the west coast of PEI toward Charlottetown. In the distance we began to see the huge 8 mile long Confederation Bridge linking PEI to the mainland.

Getting a better look at the bridge.

Looking east toward PEI as we approach the bridge.

Looking west as we approach the bridge.

What an amazing, huge structure. It was completed in 1997. Prior to that all travel was by ferryboat or plane.

Just after we passed under the bridge.
