We had a fun day in Halifax with our friends John and Sue Dietrich who are visiting from out of town.

This is the U.S. Coast Guard sailing vessel that has been used for many years to train C.G. Midshipmen.

A great way for young Midshipmen to learn teamwork and a lot of other skills while at sea.

Sailing ship in Halifax Harbour

We took a tour aboard this amazing 3 master sailing vessel.

Now that is a BIG steering wheel!

What would a sailing ship be without a lot of rope?! A bigger ship needs a lot more rope.

To give you some idea of the ships size. Cari was standing near the middle mast, mid ship.

John, Sue, Car and I had another fun walk along the Halifax boardwalk. The boardwalk goes along the water front.

What a great skyline along the Halifax Harbor.

More large ships, new and old along the waterfront.

Another large yacht docked close to us in the Halifax harbor. Either we or they have good taste!

A lovely yacht for sure.
